Abenzio Tuathal Deverell, commonly known as Thal, comes from a very confusing background. While his mother, Sabrina, was a Telmarine from Narnia, his father was both Calormene and Telmarine. His father's wanderlust led the family many places, and Sabrina's eventual death landed them back in Calormen with a cruel step mother. After the death of said mother-figure at childbirth, Thal's father disappeared forever and he and his brothers were left to take care of their half-sister Shayla, whom they took back to Narnia to be raised by their grandparents, claiming that Sabrina was their mother. From then on Thal wandered the world and no one quite knows where he went and what he did. His character, in short, is quite distrusting, hardened, and underneath it all, broken and torn. The death of his grandparents brought Thal back to Narnia to watch out for his little sister, and he has stayed ever since. |

Dear Shayla,You ask to much of me, sister. I am a man of few words, and you know that very well. However, I will attempt to scribble something to your name, which will perhaps give you some joy at least.
It would be much better if you were in my place - not in war, but in location. Things were as you declared. The woods is teeming with Narnians - centaurs, fauns, talking animals of all kinds. They would delight you and I do wish you could see them. But you must remember, Shayla, that they are our enemy and we must watch what we speak of. I will tell you more of it at a later time.
I haven't the time to say more. I pray all is well with you. We shall meet again soon.
