General Personality: Leonitus is brave. He many times laughs in the face of danger (literally), which gets him into bad situations often and causes him to get in over his head. His bravery also has positive affects, no matter the situation, danger, or how bad it looks, Leonitus will fearlessly defend his friends, family, and home. He loves his family and friends far too much to let something as trivial as fear to cause him to leave them. Leonitus is very brave, but he is also smart enough to know when to leave well enough alone. He does not blindly charge into battle, and almost always has a plan of some sort and is ready to run if necessary.
Leonitus is impatient and extremely rash. Leonitus is not one to wait on much or anyone for that matter. He likes to get in there and get things done. He likes to do things only once and hates to wait on someone, or anything else. He works hard to get everything done and tries his best never to keep anyone waiting, but knows that that is nigh impossible. He likes to do things well, but if it is a choice between getting the job done well enough and quickly, and getting the job done entirely, to the best of his ability, he will do the job quickly. He also rushes into things much too quickly, he is very intelligent and most of the time has the sense to watch and wait, but sometimes when he is not thinking about it, he will rush in and get in well over his head in things.
Thirdly, Leonitus is an overall "good guy". He is respectful to his elders (something taught to most all centaurs) and follows orders to the best of his ability. He is a hard worker and does what he is told the first time. He is intelligent and a quick learner. He is kind to others, and tries his best not to make anyone angry with him, but does not let it overly bother him. He tries his best to live a full life and is always looking for that "Mrs. Right". He looks to the stars for guidance and is a strict believer in the ability for the stars to tell the future.
Leonitus is also a loner. He likes to be alone and to live and rely on himself. He is, however willing to work with others when the situation demands it and has no problem with making new friends. He can, at times be very outgoing and friendly, but the majority of his time, he is quiet, and tends to keep to himself. He likes to watch others from a distance, and learn about them before he ever approaches them. He is a very curious centaur, but is also quite cautious about making new friends because he knows that in a land full of dangers such as this, he could easily lose one of them and that would leave him heartbroken.
Character HistoryFamily: His father was Cheiron Strongbow, his mother is Lera Strongbow. He has to siblings, and as of yet, no mate.
General History: Leonitus was born to a small family of centaurs far in the North; it was far, but not quite in the lands of the giants. Leonitus' father, Cheiron Strongbow's grandfather was a traveling warrior, with strong family ties with the once honored guard of the ancient kings and queens of Narnia, however the war with the Telmarines caused the centaur to take his young family away from the good lands of Narnia, and into the harsh, cold Northlands. So, this was where Leonitus was born and spent his life here, all but the first few years of it in these harsh, cold Northlands.
As he aged, Leonitus was given more freedoms, but with those freedoms came responsibility. He, at the age of ten was given an oak bow and a quiver of arrows. These were the first things he learned to use. His father, Cheiron taught him the basics of archery, as well as fletching, should the young centaur ever need new arrows. So, Leonitus was allowed to roam the lands close to their home and hone his skill with archery, which the young centaur practiced almost constantly. It was his entire life, he loved the sound of the arrow as it whistled through the air and landed in its target, he loved the feeling of satisfaction when he brought home a fresh kill for his family, and over the years, Leonitus became an expert with the bow, as well as with his arrows. It was then, seven years later that his father, Cheiron decided that Leonitus had enough experience and was responsible enough for him to have some real weapons, twin sabers, the same used by Cheiron himself.
Leonitus was dumbstruck when Cheiron handed the now, seventeen-year-old centaur a pair of twin sabers. Cheiron said, “Now, son, take these weapons and use them wisely, never use them for evil, and never let anyone take them from you, for these weapons are now a part of you, now, go and train with them, I will be there to help you later.” said the elder centaur as he walked back to the cave that the three of them had been living in. Leonitus’ eyes lit up when he felt the handle’s of the sabers. He looked at their long, slightly curved blades, and their blue-hued metal. He stared in wonderment at the lightness of the weapons, and how the handle seemed to fit perfectly into his hand. He smiled widely and raced off into the small training ground that he and his father had made for them to practice with their weapons.
Over the next few years, Leonitus learned all that his father could teach him about the twin sabers, and he became a good swords centaur, however he never became quite as good as his father, but what he lacked in swordsmanship, he made up for in archery, he had a special affinity for it and became greater and greater, until he far surpassed his father. It was then that he knew that he needed to journey back to the land of his birth and help the other creatures fight against the evil humans who were oppressing them.
Leonitus left his home after a quick, but very emotional goodbye. Once he left, he never looked back…
Other/Notes: Not much of anything, I think I put it all out there, but if there are any questions, I will answer them here.
SampleRP Sample: Leonitus walked silently through the forest. He had seen the giants many times before, but never had they come this close to his home. His parents, unaware of the danger had never sensed the giants as they walked about aimlessly, on the constant search for food. However, Cheiron had sensed them, and being an adult decided to take matters into his own hand and see why the giants had come this far south, close to the border with Narnia. Leonitus silently strung his bow and placed an arrow on it. It was a regular arrow, but in his hands, it was a master killing weapon. He drew the bow back, ready to shoot at an instant and leapt out of the brush and into the small clearing that the giants were in. He saw the large creatures, their hulking figures sitting around a large campfire. Leonitus yelled to them, “What business do you have this far south, do you mean me harm? If so, then prepare for a-“ was all he had time to say, before a large hand hit him in the back of the head and left him laying on the ground, unconscious.
When he woke up, Leonitus was laying on a cold, stone floor. Somewhere around him were large creatures which were very clumsy as well as loud. The centaur pulled himself up into a sitting position and blinked rapidly to restore his vision. His head ached all over and his entire body felt as if it had been hit by a large minotaur. He looked up to see the grotesque face of an old female giant. The woman smiled widely and asked, “Making threats to giants are we? Hehehe! I’ll say, Ulric gave you a hard hit, but not one you didn’t deserve, you’ll learn not to threaten giants, especially armed. My name is Gera, but you can call me Aunty Ger. Now, what is your name, so I will know who out dinner guest is?” Leonitus looked at the large giant and said, “I am … umm … Heiram. I come from the land or Narnia, where am I?” asked the still slightly dazed centaur. Aunty Ger said, “Why, you are in one of the cities of the giants my dear!” Come, lets get you ready for dinner, we will be having fresh deer, as well as some beef, I will leave you in here, so get a good bath, and call me when you are ready to eat.” said Aunty Ger as she clumsily shambled out of the room and shut the large door behind her. Leonitus heard a small
click and knew that the giantess had locked the door behind her. Leonitus sighed and thought,
Why do I get myself into these situations? …
