LORD DRINIAN

A Telmarine duke and dutiful son, Drinian's heart remains close to home as he runs his sizable duchy; as the war appears to be fomenting upon his own land, Drinian wishes he were a bit further from home. As childhood friend and second cousin to Prince Caspian, Drinian remains faithful to Caspian and the promise of the king he might become. Passionate for justice and mercy, a student of politics and rhetoric, Drinian seeks to use his abilities for compassion and oratory to enthrone Caspian, unite Telmar, and bring peace to the Land.

A court beauty and niece to the queen, Lilla Rosalba is in the position to be a prime bargaining chip and of a disposition to be anything but a pawn. A queen on a chess board, she will move as she will and adapt to her needs. Often prone to cynicism if not bitterness, Lilla has seen much of court politics -- social and governmental -- and much of men and has not been pleased. Wary, polite, and determined, Lilla knows her position, which is above most, and boldly asserts herself, carrying herself nobly and tall.

[Lord Drinian]

Okay. So, time for plottage. Here are some of the things I have planned for my characters. I want you to weigh in and to give me thread ideas! I'd love to thread with you guys!

Lord Drinian

• Meeting Corinna - likely before he goes off to the Narnians, because I don't know what will happen there!

King Miraz

• Meeting with his councilors - currently this only consists of General Glozelle. We'd LOVE some more advisors/politicians/social climbers, peeps! In this meeting, the scout who was befriended by Drinian at the Narnian camp, having escaped, tells Miraz and his council of the state of things. They decide to go to war.
• Meeting with Michala Harran - we talked about this. Why, exactly, is Michala here? Well, in this thread, we find out!
• Meeting with Gavin Owen - Lord Drinian, in order to divide some of the controversial books on his estate, gave one to Gavin. This, unfortunately, did not go unnoticed. Miraz suspects espionage.
• Birth Festival - To celebrate the birth of his son after the first skirmish of war, Miraz returns to Castle Telmar in order to display his wealth, pomp, and the strength of his new dynasty.

Lilla Rosalba

• Friendship with Delia - they are too similar to not be bosom friends. They are of the same class, temperament, and age. Let's thread.
• Lilla and Sephen - the awkward "Miraz wants us to get hitched but I hate Miraz" conversation. Possibly Killian.

Okay, so, as you can tell, this is a lot of threads pending here. I am happy to have more, but just be warned that my progress on these will be slow and not always systematic. Patience please and I look forward to RPing with all of you.

Hehe. I'd so love to see Lilla and Sephen transitioning from "the King wants us to get hitched" awkwardsauce to "you hate him to? let's talk about him behind his back, hehehe" stuff XD

Methinks we should flesh out potential plotness with Lilla and Killian (meeting shouldn't be overly hard; Killian visits Sephen a lot, and if he showed up while she was there he'd immediately put on his Casanova gloves XD). And, the more I look at Killian's profile... the less I think he's immature, so much as he's just incredibly ADD. XD

I believe we also entertained the idea of Miraz harassing Sephen and trying to get him more firmly under his thumb? (that, or it was Miraz suspecting Sephen's alliance... I forget)

Oooh, no, you're right! The offers (Lilla, expanded land, etc.) turning to threats (where Drinian is at right now) and then potentially turning to open hostility.

I think those would work best in correspondence. I don't see him visiting Sephen personally. Let's see if we can get on that before the Birth Festival. That way, if Sephen does show his face -- the nerve! -- for the festival, it can be quite volatile. And I like volatile. (On a side note, Festival won't happen, I don't think, until after this battle, which will happen THIS WEEK -- yay!) so we may need to wait a bit on that. But not on the correspondence. It's on my "to write this week."

I'm not sure what Lilla will do with an ADD suitor. We'll find out, now won't we?

Oooh, I could very easily see Sephen showing up just to make a statement (ie, "You don't scare me") and piss Miraz off >:3 ....aaaaand potentially to see Delia Mowbray, if she's going to be attending. (lol) Though, depending how the correspondence goes, he might just take that as his cue to burn Braose to the ground and make for the Narnian camp with Killian.

Killian... well, I could see him dragging Lilla off to go do something fun XD whatever that would entail.

[Auralei da Cava]

I'd be interested in Auralei and Drinian meeting, if your up for it. (:  Maybe on the way back from his encounter with the Narnians?

Oh, and also, since Auralei is planning on getting a house built, she'd probably have to get Miraz's permission and get the expenses reviewed by him, correct?  There could be a possible thread lurking in there. xD
