I felt the need to rant. So here's the thread in which I will do so. Feel free to reply with your own rants. It'll help, I'm sure. xD
It's now been just about four weeks since I had a hot water tank. I'm sick to death of heating water and hauling it upstairs to half fill the tub. Or being lazy and heating two pots to fill the kitchen sink so I can wash my hair. I'm sick of heating water so I can get... mostly clean. >.< In the last four weeks... I've only been able to have one real shower. Maybe two, I can't remember. At my friend's house. I want, more than anything, especially after these crazy four weeks of work, to crawl into a very hot, very full bath, and sit there for two hours with music and bubbles and the bath pillow. Or a shower. I'd kill for another shower.
Also sometime in these last four weeks, our washing machine died. So tonight my clothes and I bonded as I filled the sink with heated water and hunched over it as I scrubbed my clothes by hand. I doubt they're as clean as the laundry machine would have gotten them, if we had one, but they'll have to do. I ache everywhere -- that hot bath would be so nice -- and I still have to heat more water so I can wash my hair for work tomorrow. -cries-
I. Want. A. Shower. Is that too much to ask? And despite the fact that I have a YMCA membership and could hop on a bus to go shower there, it's below freezing, wayyy below freezing, every day and so I'd have to go, shower, and make sure I REALLY dried my hair before leaving or I would have icicles hanging from my head. No word of a lie, wet hair freezes intensely. Icicles hanging from one's head really kinda hurt.
-cries-
Anyone else frustrated with their life right now?

Because the hot water tank decided to up and die. Like, flood our laundry room while we were out, seep into the kitchen, and then ... die.
It sucks. -cries-

Reepicheep's motto: "The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law. I remember your ancient laws, O Lord, and I find comfort in them. Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law. Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge." - Psalm 119:51-54 |
