I know that we're still short on people. But I think it would be good to start some visible discussions on this so that we can start moving forward.

So anyone who is a Pevensie is invited, along with Trumpkin. Let's talk.

*sigh* I've tried, but I seriously have no ideas at the moment except to at least start out following the book (and what we've seen so far of the movie).

If I may interrupt, I know I'm not a Pevensie. But you could have a few of the children talking about Narnia and how much they miss it.

I do already have a first post written up, though depending on how everything works out, I don't have to use it.

We do have a general idea of what to do, if we follow the book (I'm not opposed to any deviations). We'll start with the arrival in Narnia. Then the Pevensies will explore the island, find Cair Paravel and the old treasure room, meet Trumpkin (I really do hope Edmund starts the DLF nickname thing!), have the contest with Trumpkin, find out what's been going on with Caspian, start heading to Aslan's Howe, etc. etc.  What I meant when I said I have no ideas is that I don't have any original ideas.  You know, character interactions, where to deviate from or add to the plot...basically all the things that make an RP interesting and not just a rehashing of the book.

I have an idea for the ending, but that's so far away it wouldn't be good to start considering it now.

Perhaps what's hampering me is the lack of a recent review of the book. I should check it out from the Library again and read it. I think I'll make a trip down there now and pick it up, as I see it's available.

I'm going to re-read the book too, I actually have it with me at the moment. Everything that Misha posted sounds great for the beginning.

Well, I finished reading the book, and I'm not too sure on ideas of where to deviate from the plot.

However, what say we just start on the plot and get RPing? Maybe some ideas will come off of that. I've got a post ready to start when you're all ready.

Alright, it's up. The only reason it's a "closed" RP is because it's just the Pevensies and Trumpkin at the moment. Once we get past the island, there might be an opportunity to open it up.

Anyways, it's up. There's a bit of a mix between the book and movie trailer going on here, so the train platform-to-cave is the same as the movie, but as for the rest, that's up to us.

By the way, where does the storm fall in relation to the Pevensie plot? Are we saying the Pevensies come after the storm, maybe? Since the Pevensies are sort of isolated from everything else at first, we don't have to be at the same point in time as the other two plot lines right now.  And unless Trumpkin or someone tells them about the storm, they may never know about it. But still, the timeline is good to know.

I would say that the Pevensies can exist in a time before the storm. By the time they get to the camp, however, they will have passed through the days of the storm RP.

Ok, so the Pevensies will run into the storm at some point later on? About where do we want them to be when that happens? (Just trying to see if any additional plot ideas come to mind...)

Well, I guess that's up to us to decide. Where should we run into it?

Just as a note, we decided before (back when we had a different Peter and Edmund) that we're going to go ahead with the movie representation of the Pevensies' arrival in Narnia, and not the book's, as it doesn't change anything all that important. This means they're coming out of the station (an indoor one, not outdoors) into a cave (not the forest). They'll then follow the light coming through the opening of the cave onto the beach. We can explore around the beach, and then once we figure out we're on an island, go into the forest and find Cair Paravel.

From there, we can go with the book or the movie, or deviate completely in places. If it's not too major (in which case, we should prob. discuss it here first), you can take initiative in deciding what to do. Just be certain its clear in your post.  For that reason, make sure you read closely the posts before yours; for example, Aslan's post at the beginning of the thread sets the stage so that you know we're entering Narnia into a cave instead of the forest.
