((Ooc Note: This is the beginning of part two of the mini-plot. All characters have managed to make it into the caves/tunnels. The first plot thread will be locked and moved on April 8th so please finish up whatever you need to finish up on there before joining this thread. Keep in mind that you can post here before April 8th. It's open now. Thanks!))

With the storm raging outside the tunnels, and the many caves that held nervous Narnians within, there was little Caspian could do to improve their situation. They had stored the most that they could ? he hoped that it was enough that they weren?t set back too far. If he had been concerned that he was completely useless earlier, he was nearly certain of it now. It hadn?t even really been him overseeing all the storm preparations. He had made a couple of suggestions but he hadn?t been surprised if no one had followed them ? what did he know about storms? About survival? About war? What did he know about anything, beyond expensive living and fancy toys? Exquisite foods? What good was he at all? But then, he had time to change, to improve as a ruler. He supposed that even being out here, even being willing to actually live like this and fight for the oppressed people of Narnian ? not that he wasn?t rather oppressed himself, at present - was a point on his side. He hoped so, at least.

Glancing over in the direction of their tied up prisoner, Caspian sighed and shook his head. What to do with Adimon? If the man was telling the truth ? which he certainly looked to be ? and actually had amnesia of a sort, what good was he to them? Caspian knew it would certainly come back to haunt him; the girl who had seemed so wholly in favour of killing their prisoner would only have more to use against him, to make him look foolish. And perhaps the decision to help Miraz?s advisor was foolish, but that didn?t change the fact that Caspian was not a murderous sort of man ? or boy. Nor could he ever imagine himself to be. While Adimon had doubtlessly been spying, or at least attempting to, he had in actuality done them no harm. Besides, who knew when he would remember what was going on? Maybe he could prove useful to them yet.

He was still rather unnerved by that girl?s outburst; her open disdain and dislike for him was bothersome. He knew, deep down, that there had to be more than just her who disliked him because of his parentage. But it was not his fault that he was human, that he was Telmarine. Should he not be judged on his actions; actions that were very much on their side, very much good and noble actions? He wondered if he would ever get away from it. Not likely, but perhaps it would lessen over time. He hoped so.

Glancing around the caves about him, Caspian wished they hadn?t all had to have been so cramped and crowded. With all the supplies ? tents, food, weapons, armour, and whatever else they had managed to save from the storm ? and the varying sizes of the creatures within,

There wasn?t a lot of space for movement. There was also another downside to the crowdedness of the caves ? if anyone fell ill, it would not be long before nearly everyone fell ill. That was a frightening thought indeed.

Leaning against the wall of the cave and staring out at the opposite wall with a frustrated sigh. He wondered how long this storm could last ? by the looks of it, perhaps even a couple of days. There was no doubt that things were going to get bad, for putting that many different creatures in caves together could only end in unnecessary squabbling. He just hoped no injuries came of it.

"I'm fine Roani, but there's something I've been meaning to do."
Dragging Roani away from the crowd he held her hand softly, "What I'm about to tell you is to be kept between us two, no one else must know unless the King himself inquires of it."

He signaled a dwarf to fetch his armour, "I've been under your care and am glad for that, but now's the time where I have to step up again despite of my injury. I would plead you not to follow."

He hugged her, her warmth bringing much delight to the embrace. Whispering he spoke into her ear, "This storm has kept me in long enough, I've talked to some of the creatures in this cave of whom I know well of and they have decided to come with me." He paused as he swallowed down what he was about to say, but knowing he was already half way he would have to tell her the rest.
"I'm going with a wolf as well as a few rabbits and squirrels to both seek out any Old Narnians left in the near-by woods. We'll also be checking up on the Telmarines, this will help us as we report back of their position and assist Prince Caspian in any of his attempts. Let us also hope that High King Peter may arrive soon, along with the other king and two queens of old. Wish me luck and hope to see me soon."

By this time he had slowly backed away from the embrace and kissed her cheek, the dwarf was already waiting alongside him with his armour. His full set of armour was set and ready to go, quick it was for him to mount himself with it all while hiding from Caspian's sight. His sword was ready, helmet in place and shield remounted unto his back, "Farewell Roani, I shall return to fight alongside you for Narnia, I promise."

When the entrance was clear Richard bolted out, he noticed both the rabbits and squirrels follow him in quick pace as they out ran him into the thickness of the woods. Only the wolf snuck out quietly in very slow pace, "Let's go..."

((Again, F.Y.I. Roxanne isn't new to the group at all, she's been around for a few weeks so besides Choni, most of you have probably seen her around at the least))

Roxanne was glad to finally see someone who was being all nice and lovely and level-headed.  At least that's what Nirvelli seemed to be to Roxy.  She had enough of the drama that most women brought, but this was a princess!  Roxy supposed that she would want as little drama as possible.  It seemed fitting.  And it was obvious that she knew what as important: the sickly.  Not trying to change your identity.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess.  I'm Roxanne Boulegard, daughter of Lord Drake, Protector of Stormness Head...unfortunately," Roxy introduced herself in a respectful manner.  But she didn't want to dwell on herself.  She hated talking about herself...especially with strangers and especially when she ended on the note that she was the daughter of her cursed father.

"I'd be honored to help though, I feel as though I would be uncompassionate to be idle," she said and a few moments later Roxy was handing the princess the blue bottle which she easily found in the beautifully crafted sash.  Roxanne did feel bad that so many had been inquired, even in slight ways.  But she couldn't stop the thought of 'at least it wasn't me' from entering her mind.

She saw a young fawn child, shivering from the cold of wetness and brought her a blanket.  It felt good to help.  But Roxanne felt like this was a one time thing.  An escape from the madness that was around them.  It wasn't like Roxy was planning on becoming and all out loyalist to Caspian who would die for him.  Sure, she thought he deserved to be King but she wouldn't be her life on the line to support that belief.

Caspian seemed to appear out of no where. She had no idea that he'd gotten nearer. She would have jumped with shock but she was a bit too weak. She looked up at him and even as her mind protested when he leaned to support her she leaned back, her muscles seeming to give way too much slack.

?I?ll help you,? he said carefully to her, ?You look worn, and it?ll never do for you to fall ill too. What will we do then? Perhaps? perhaps you can tell me what to do, and I can assist in caring for the sick??

"Perhaps." she repeated "I shoudl rest."

But she hesitated. He was no royal brat, for sure, but he was a Prince and the future King of Narnia. She felt strange even giving him orders. Her mind raced but she blocked out the doubts. Caspian would help in nay event, isn't that why she was so sure of the cause. Where Miraz was ruthless Caspian was kind. Caspian was worthy. She shook her head and looked down the cave, trying to remember her duties.

"Alright your Highness. The Minotaurs in the far corner need water, there are a few of my countrymen who are coming down with fevers and of course there's Adimon." she breathed and steadied herself. "But I can help you."

She smiled slightly.

"And thank you."

So she moved forward, able to walk a bit steadier now. Adimon sat only a few feet ahead and she stepped up, pulling out a skin filled with water and poured it for him, hoping that it would be enough. She settled on the floor, making sure there was plenty of space between them, and looked him square in the eye.

"This may come as a shock to you, Sir, but your now a prisoner of war in the Camp of the Old Narnians." she waited for a a response "And if you don't know what I'm speaking of then we do have much to discuss..."

He wanted to help, that was all he wanted to do. It wasn?t as though he could make any sort of battle plans here, not when he was unsure of the damage and just as unsure of how Miraz and his camp were fairing. For all he knew, they had returned to the castle to wait out the storm in comfort. The problem was, he just didn?t know.

?You?re welcome, he replied, listening carefully to her instructions. Right now, he wasn?t any more important than any one of them here. Right now, they needed to focus all their efforts not on arguing, but on keeping their army healthy and safe. He was here to fight for the Narnians, to restore their country to them. He wasn?t here to watch them die because a storm had trapped them all inside some old, musty caves. No, he wasn?t going to let that happen.

?I?ll go and see to those Minotaurs,? he replied, helping her to Adimon and wondering yet again if he had made the right decision in letting the man live. But it wasn?t as though he could change his mind now? he really couldn?t fret over the issue. Not like the lady Lirain seemed to wish to do. ?I?ll return shortly and see how the prisoner is fairing. Without another word to Elba, he hurried away to get some water for the sickly Minotaurs.

That didn?t take long, and they seemed rather grateful for the drink. Caspian was happy to help. He made a couple of rounds, bringing water and what little he could to increase the sick?s comfort. However, one could only be so comfortable in a cave, with the sounds of rain pouring down around you and the annoying squabbling that could often be heard from some group or another.

Not quite game to face Adimon yet, a little nervous that the man wouldn?t remember ? and all the more nervous that he might ? Caspian made his way to the entrance of the cave. He always seemed to go there and stare out at the rain when he needed to think. And right now, he really needed to think.

His throat felt scratchy and his head was beginning to hurt, but he didn?t want to think about that now. He didn?t want to acknowledge that he could be falling ill too. That would be really rather disastrous.

As Adimon waited for someone to come to him, his mind whirled with potential plans. He determined that it would be best not to try to escape now. Even if they told him who he was, he would have no clue how to get back to wherever it was he came from. He was safe here, it seemed, and while he was a captive, at least he'd be cared for.  So for now, he would simply be a model prisoner. Of course, in the meantime, he would gather what information he could and keep his eye out for a way to escape, in case things began to turn downhill for him or his memory returned.

Adimon was beginning to think they were going to ignore his request when someone -- the healer who'd helped him earlier -- arrived at last.  Her face was drawn and tired, and she wobbled slightly as she poured him some water before sinking to the ground a small distance away.  She'd obviously been neglecting herself in her care for others, and the fact that the others needed that much care told him that this army had more problems than a lack of cohesion.

The healer handed him a cup of water. "Thank you, my lady," he said with a nod.  Turning his attention to the cup of water she'd handed to him, Adimon hesitated for a moment. His hands were still tied; this would be an awkward task. Then with a slight shrug he brought to the cup to his lips, having to raise his left hand along with the right hand that held the cup. He managed to drain the cup with only a few spills. Satisfied, he set -- or rather, dropped -- the cup by his side. Well, that took some effort. He hoped they wouldn't make him perform all of his necessary activities with his wrists and ankles bound.

The healer had spoken while he was in the process of drinking his water, and while he heard her, enough of his concentration was on not spilling too much that he waited until he put the cup down before answering her. At last, he spoke. "My dear lady, it's hardly a shock that I'm a prisoner of war." He'd figured that out almost immediately, actually...  "But I'm afraid I have no clue who the Old Narnians are. Apparently, I must have known that and more at some point in the past, but at the present, I still seem to be suffering from amnesia. I don't even know who I am, much less who all of you are.  So, my lady, any information you would be willing to impart to me would be much appreciated."

Roani stared after Richard and his band disappeared into the forest. A single tear slipped from her grey eyes. Not bothering to brush it away, the girl turned and walked back to her horse. Burying her pale face in his mane, she heaved a sigh. Would Richard come back? No, no. Don't think like that. Of course he will. Her conscience reassured her.

Dar snorted, butting his head against his mistress' shoulder. With a sad smile, Roani picked up a brush from a tack box and began brushing. After a few minutes, the gelding sighed and butting her shoulder again. She put the brush back and went to find some hay or something her mount could eat.

She passed the Prince who was helping the Minotaurs. Concern showed with a furrowing of the brows on Roani's face. Their Prince looked as though he was fading. His eyes looked tired and sort of red. "Your Highness? Why don't you let me help Elba with the man, he knows me from earlier. And you can go rest."

In Caspian's kindness and determination, the huntress was reminded of Richard. Suddenly tears came unbidden to her eyes. She brushed them away, lowering her head so the Prince couldn't see. Roani hated to be weak.

Choni was appalled, her mouth open in shock as he presumed to accuse her of being a Noble woman of Miraz's court! Her hands balled into fists and rested on her hips and she set her mouth in a hard line as he declared the conversation over. She did not take kindly to people such as him.

She remembered as a child, when she had first visited and met the prince, she had thought him cute. Then, he'd opened his mouth and all such thoughts had been washed from her mind.

She had prepared a retort for him, but it would have to wait as she saw him go with Lady Elba to tend to someone. He was crazy he he thought this conversation was over. She turned away, wearing a scowl on her face.

"The nerve of that pompous, inconsiderate, snivilling, snot nosed little brat," she muttered under her breath, ber nostrils flared. She snatched up another hide filled with medicine and began tending the first coughing soldier she saw- a faun.

Despite the need to take care of him, she couldn't help but admire the sheer presence of him! For years, she had dreamed of meeting Old Narnians like from the legends. She had even had a dream of meeting the four Kings and Queens of the Golden Age, but of course, that couldn't happen. Why did this all have to happen in the midst of a war? She sighed as she pushed her fascination to the side and focused soley on the fact that she had to help a sick person.
