I should really stop naming these weekly updates, since I haven't been doing very well in making one every week. Especially when there's nothing to talk about. But that's not the case this week, so on to the update.
We're getting a very nice influx of new members and roleplay. I congratulate everybody who has been participating in the
Ultimate Recruitment contest. If you haven't joined in yet, you should definitely check it out. It's another way to get your face out among the RPing community and get some members over to Into Narnia. I definitely look forward to seeing the top recruiter for the month when it's given out. An extra thanks to Cara for thinking up the contest and putting all the work into it.
I want to also give an applaud out to our members who have taken up a second character or new members who have kindly respected our cap on Pro-Narnian human characters. We're getting a good number of variety now, which is desperately needed. I'm eager to see where the RP will take us with more than just humans in the mix for the Narnians now.
We could still use some Telmarine characters. We need more people to play the baddies here so we can have some real conflict. Maybe a battle or two, like in the books. Anybody who is interested in making their second (or third) characters a Telmarine would be greatly appreciated.
Now, the Prince Caspian movie has been out for nearly
two weeks in the United States and Canada, so if you live there and haven't gotten a chance to see it again, get out there and see it! If you already have, consider making another trip. It's a great way to support the actors and producers, and to help support the production of future Narnian films. We don't want them to stop at two now that they've started, especially with the type of quality we've been seeing from these films. And if you are among our international members, consider going on the premiere night or soon after when the film is released in your country.
While we've had a great influx of members and RPing, I think we've shied away from our OOC discussions. If you don't have anything to do while you're waiting for someone to respond, why not chat in one of our OOC areas? It's a great way to make friends with some of your fellow players and to let us know what you're up to, share funny videos or pictures you've come across, or just pass the time. There's the
General Discussion area for discussions and comments, the
Games and Entertainment room for some good-natured fun, and then the
Spam room for all things spammy.
I just want to take some time to say that we're always looking for ways to improve this game. While your ideas may or may not be used, if you have some, take some time to make a post to us in the
Feedback area. We'd love to hear it. Even if you don't have ideas, but just comments on the site, what you like or don't like, we welcome that as well. Just be respectful in your comments and be mindful of the effort it takes to build and run a site like this.
And that's all for this week. Hopefully next week, there'll be another update. Until next time...
