Character Application

Character Creation Rules:

-Your character may be a canon that you reserved from the canon list, or else it must be original, of your own design (or the design of another person on this board if it is an original canon or adopted character). In other words, it may not be a remake or incarnation or have relation to a character from Narnia or any other genre. This includes Harry Potter, Star Trek, Final Fantasy, etc. Your character can use an avatar (image) of an actor or anime character from another genre, but cannot be that character.

-Your character is not all powerful. Please include both strengths and weaknesses in him/her.

-Your character should keep to the Narnia universe. They should not have superpowers, starships, a secret alien identity, etc. The technology of Narnia is medieval, with chainmail, swords, arrows and magic. There are no cannons, crossbows, guns, planes or cars.

-Under no circumstances can an original character cross the threshold into Narnia from Earth. This is a precautionary measure to ensure that Narnian characters are used in a Narnia-universe RPG and that this doesn't become a cross-over RPG. In addition, in keeping with Lewis' vision of Narnia, original characters from Earth are prohibited to maintain the sense of purpose that each Earth character had.

-We are an literate RPG. We expect well written posts, and that carries over to your application. Please make sure you write as best you can, even if English isn't your native language. A word processor program like Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org Write is very helpful. If you can't access those, there are a number of online spellcheckers and document editors. Try Google Documents, or search for "online spellchecker."

-A special note for canon characters. Although we will allow some spelling and grammatical mishaps for original characters, we expect those applying for canon characters to have a good grasp of English and be able to write well. As a canon character, your writing is going to be the most scrutinized and sought after, so we need to make sure that it is top notch. If you are unsure of your capabilities, try playing an original character first.

-When in doubt, post your application as it is. If you need help, simply pm an administrator or post in your application thread, and we'd be glad to offer. Bear in mind that we won't write anything for you, but we'll give you suggestions.
