"Sephen is an intriguing character, who out of prudence,  provides supplies for Miraz, but out of conviction and loyalty, also supplies the Old Narnians.  He has several interesting story lines, which together make him complex and lifelike."

Not sure. Do you usually disagree upon principle, or by happenstance?

Here, here! Now give me back my bow! ... Wait... *blink* Did I just AGREE with CASPIAN? o.O
February 25, 2010, 12:55:24 PM
What about hiding only the weapons of Miraz's army?
February 24, 2010, 02:11:17 PM
What about we start by hiding everyone's weapons?
January 30, 2010, 09:42:09 PM
We can just play some game that doesn't include our weapons being hijacked like Hide and Seek.
January 29, 2010, 08:24:52 PM
I don't like games that include my bow being hijacked! It is very special to me! *climbs other tree*

I know right??
January 29, 2010, 08:26:42 AM
Someone who doesn't like games? I never knew a person who did. Come on, there's no one who hates them! Games are like, fun.

Evil (waves the bow around)

You don't understand. And I don't like games! *climbs back down and goes toward other tree*

(sighs) Be patient, milady. Dzuna will give it back once it stops being fun; that is, when you stop chasing her.

(flits off to another tree) "XD"

In case any of you didn't know, Disney backed out of financing The Voyage of the Dawn Treader about a month ago. I was rather upset, because I want as many Narnia movies as possible to be made, but I still hoped that another country would pick up the movie.  And Fox has, according to the LA Times and Variety!

What do you think about the switch? Apparently, they're going back to a Christmas release for this movie (in 2010), and are trying to get back to the "magical" feel of the first movie, both things of which I approve. I just hope they do a good job of it!

I have mixed feelings about the switch. Don't get me wrong though, I'm thuroughly excited DT is being picked up by Fox, I'm just worried they may not be able to capture the magic grasped so well in the first two films. Maybe its my partiality to Disney because they have literally defined magic in the fiber of our country's imaginations for generations. However, as long as Adamson and the gang are still involved, I'll be satisfied!!!

Well, I don't think Disney really added much to it besides the opening animations, the moolah and the contracts for getting it produced and to theaters. That's pretty much what Fox will be doing as well. Adamson was the driving force behind PC's vision, as with LLW, and I think TDT will be just as epic and magical as the previous films.

That is awesome! I think it'll probably turn out great, as long as the director and cast stays the same. It is sad that Disney dropped it though, because Narnia seems like the type of thing Disney should make. Oh well, as long as someone makes it....and they still keep the same general feel as the first 2 movies. :]

And stick fairly closely with the book, because that always annoys me when people drastically change it!

Prince Caspian was probably the toughest book, since half of it was in flashbacks. Changing to the linear style was probably the best idea, but I did wish they would have continued the journey to the How longer and cut out the raid on the castle stuff.

Yeah, Prince Caspian would've been a difficult book to cover. They did it nicely, and I loved it... But I'm always a bigger fan of the books. :] And yeah, the castle raid was kind of unnecessary, as it was totally not in the book. Also, I can't decide if I like how Peter hated on Caspian. It was a nice touch for a movie, but that wasn't in the book.

And sometimes things do need to be adjusted for movies that can't be done like the books... and sadly, some books just can't be made into movies or they're ruined. But that's not the case with Narnia, so yay! :]

I also am just glad they're picking it up and doing it. I don't think a loss of Disney will equal a loss of magic since Fox said they will try to get back to the magical feeling. I do agree and understand how Prince Caspian was a hard book to do though and I think...certain characters looking not Thirteenish aside... Cheesy they did well.

Oh well, at least this time around Eustace looks like he's younger than Lucy, I have a picture of the boy, Will Poulter, that might be from the movie but will hold off in case it's a spoiler. Should I post it up?
