Overall:

Killian, like his brother, inherited their father's looks; though unlike Sephen, it's less of a rarity to see him smiling. His hair is a lighter shade of brown, worn longer and wavy when left alone; his eyes are a gentler blue than his brother's; he's about the same height as his brother Sephen at about 6 feet tall, though he's built more muscular than Sephen and as such is a superior swordsman. He is trained in horseback riding, swordplay and archery, though he prefers swords to bows and arrows; Killian is comfortable both in his nobleman clothes as well as simpler garb when he goes horseback riding.

   Physically, Killian is perhaps better endowed in physical strength than Sephen, a trait very much apparent when the two practiced swordplay; he's also more of a risk-taker when it comes to physical feats, and as such has several scars. The most prominent is a large scar on his chest from a mishap in training, and he has several smaller ones on his hands and knees. Much of his slipping up in practice or fighting comes from his impulsive nature, and a lack of patience to plan an attack beforehand.

   Unlike Sephen, Killian tends to be much more relaxed and trusting, and as such is far less intimidating in appearances; he's usually smiling, and tends to sport a casual posture along with it. He can also frequently be found in "commoner" clothing, Killian's reasoning being that they're less stuffy.

   Killian's sense of humor has also lead him to teaching the parrot Sephen brought him from Calormen to curse and speak phrases in other languages; the bird, Niko, is perhaps one of his best friends and best sources of entertainment.

General Personality:

Killian, unlike his brother, is a very trusting, optimistic kind of person that likes to believe the best in people; his sunny demeanor makes it hard for people to be grouchy in his vicinity, and he will oftentimes go out of his way to make someone happier, even at his own expense. He loves a good practical joke, and he usually pulls them on the staff of his fiefdom, as Sephen has already gotten good at predicting his moves and countering; it's more or less an ongoing battle between the two to outdo the other.

   For the most part, Killian is unconcerned with politics, save for having to get involved every now and then with his status as a noble, but otherwise spends most of his time well out of the way of the King and the Court. He's curious about the rest of the world around him, though, and has a visible fondness for books; Killian can spend hours in his library reading, and frequently asks Sephen to bring him back reading material from his merchant clients from other countries and regions.

   Needless to say, to anyone who has seen Sephen and Killian in the same vicinity, the younger idolizes his elder brother; Killian loves to have Sephen tell him stories and teach him things, and is especially fascinated by the tales he comes up with of his own imagination. However, he tends to be a bit reckless, and sometimes needs Sephen to save him from his own brashness jumping into a situation or naivete concerning other people or circumstances.

   Unlike Sephen, Killian won't admire a pretty face from afar; instead, he'll usually act on it immediately and is a bit notorious among the ladies of the Court for being a charming flirt. He isn't, however, thinking much of the future as far as a spouse goes, and is enjoying his freedom.

General History:

Killian Neale De La Braose was born some 4 years after his elder brother Sephen, and almost as soon as he could move was following his big brother around wherever his mother didn't take him. Sephen, in turn, started to pay attention to Killian and would eventually allow them to grow up as best friends.

   At first, Killian was more or less like most other children his age; curious, constantly moving and easily distracted. However, all it ever took to get him to sit still was for one of his parents or most notably Sephen to start telling him the stories of the Narnians, tales he would come to hold as true as the air he breathed, as did his brother. He was especially intrigued by stories about the adventures of the Kings and Queens of Olde.

   Once Killian became old enough, he joined Sephen with their father learning to ride horses, fight with swords and practice archery; having little patience for the more careful art of archery, Killian took immediately to the exciting, adrenaline-rush-inducing practice of swordplay. And, like all beginners, he was far from graceful on his first tries, and succeeding in giving himself the scar on his chest that can be seen today. It didn't deter him, though, and eventually with practice (a lot of practice) he became a rather talented fencer and fighter.

   Eventually, Killian grew into adulthood with Sephen; their parents passed away several years ago, and Rynelf's fortune was divided between them. Sephen, being the practical, pragmatic one as well as the elder son received Rynelf's place as a landlord and merchant, while Killian received a piece of land, a roof over his head and some family heirlooms. He had no complaints, and has thusfar enjoyed letting Sephen insist on watching over him, though he does prefer to pull his own weight by doing his own maintenance around the estate on the Braose fiefdom. Because of its remote location, he doesn't have much contact with people outside of Sephen and some of his clients.
