Character Basics Name: Queen Prunaprismia Alias(es)/Nickname(s): None Gender: Female Age: Thirty-seven Race: Human Status/Title: Queen of Telmar Affiliation: Telmar
Character Appearance Hair: Her hair is dark, thick, and wavy, coming a few inches above her elbows Eyes: Brown Overall: The queen has a gentle, oval-shaped face. Her features are evenly proportioned. Her eyes are close together, and she has long eyelashes. Her nose is very prominent, though it is often red from the occasional cold spell over the castle. Her lips are very pigmented, and more red than pink with a shallowly arched cupid's bow. She is 5'3", and was a very small and delicate child. The queen is petite, and very thin. Though, she has to be in order to fit into many of her dresses. She wears dresses all of the time, in solid colors. She likes to wear warm colors, such as red, orange, and a deeper yellow. Since she likes to fade into the background, she prefers not to wear bright colors. She has various pale patches on her arms, so she likes to wear long sleeved clothing to cover them up. Portrayal: I don't want to use the actress who plays the Queen, but I can't think of any good 'faces' for her in their mid-thirties. I hate to ask, but could I have some help picking one?

She hides her emotions from other people well, and does not wish for anyone to know what she is thinking at any time. When she was young, she was taught to keep her opinions and emotions shielded for her own good. Generally preferring to lie in the background of things going on at the castle, she, like most ladies in her time, lets her husband do the talking and decision making. Most of the time, she speaks mainly when she is spoken to, or to be polite to other people. If she needs to speak, she plans her wording very carefully, because she doesn't generally like to tread on anyone's toes.
In general, she is very gentle, even having a gentle voice that can calm even the angriest of people. Though, this doesn't often do her a lot of good, as she doesn't prefer to be present when these matters are discussed. Since she is expected to be a lady, she often has to exhibit forms of self-control. Though it was especially difficult for her at a young age, she eventually improved at holding back any strong opinions that she may have of current issues or certain people. However, the queen is quite intelligent. She was taught at a young age to read books, by a mentor that she was influenced by during her childhood.
She is also very observant, having quite a bit of time to herself, and to watch. She is patient, though that quality/characteristic only came after years of having to be on a daily basis. Humor is lost on her. She isn't good at making jokes, or seeing humor in things, unlike many people. It is sometimes difficult for her to find jokes funny, though she laughs anyway, just to be polite. The queen isn't much of a people person, as she cannot easily relate to many people, since she holds a position unlike any other woman that she has ever met. However, having been around so many luxuries and jewels, it has turned her into a very greedy person, insisting that, if someone else has something valuable, she deserves to own it as well, and will go to long measures to see that she gets it. Character History Parents: Sir Thomas Hermygn and Lady Renteh Hermygn Siblings: Tythen Hermygn
General History: Prunaprismia was born on February 13, to Sir Thomas Hermygn and Lady Renteh Hermygn, weighing six pounds eleven ounces. She was the second child born to the Hermygn family, and the last. Her mother and father were married as the result of an arranged relationship and marriage. They were both born into wealthy families, and raised her with little to no knowledge of any poverty or wrong in the world. Her older brother, Tythen, ten and a half years old than she, married when she was eight years old, and did not live with them after that. In the few years that she had with her brother, she loved him. He paid special attention to her, and she hated the fact that he had to go away from her. Therefore, she disliked his wife for 'taking him away' from her.
Her parents had always planned to have multiple children, but their hopes were diminished when their second child was a girl, not another male to continue the family name. They decided to raise her to be a lady, and to know her place, hoping to marry her off, as they eventually did. They resided inside of a castle miles away, hardly ever going into the village. She was taught to be polite to everyone, but that peasants were in a class totally different from them, and to associate with higher class members. Her parents, especially her father, controlled most of her life, from who she spoke to, to what she wore, to who she was romantically involved in. After a few years of routine and growth, she become Queen Prunaprismia.
She had been courting royalty for a few years. He was the ideal match for her, said her parents, and they were soon married after a few months of seeing each other. Even though she didn't have much say in the matter, she was fairly content with the marriage. The queen enjoyed her new title and the rewards that came with it. Though they had been married a few years, she had never become pregnant with a child, most importantly, a male child. Her husband wanted a male child so he would gain the throne, instead of his nephew, Caspian. After a few more years, she became pregnant for the first time.
Sample RP Sample: Queen Prunaprismia walked out onto the balcony, overlooking the scenery below. She had always enjoyed the view of the forest and water below, though she had never had an urge to enjoy them in any way but gazing. The stars were out early tonight, and a cool breeze blew from the east. Brushing a loose strand of hair out of her face, she propped her back on the stone wall behind her, rubbing her bare skin on the granite. It was a beautiful night, perfect to stargaze. Remere would have enjoyed this, she noted, slowly reminiscing of her old mentor. He had always been interested in constellations. A flurry of activity was in the background.
To her left was the village, bustling with activity, even in the night. People strolled along the cobblestone streets, standing and talking in the courtyard across the bridge. It was always an interesting place to go, the village was. Not necessarily in a good way or a bad way, but the poor had always interested her. Do I pity them? she questioned herself. Her mother had often told her that they are poor because of their on mistakes, not hers, so there was no reason to feel sorry for them in the least. She hadn't seen her mother in ages, perhaps a couple of years. No, her life had been nice. She knew that many people would love to bathe in the riches that she did. And, it was fairly rewarding, maybe not as much as most would think.
Sitting on a stone bench, she massaged her neck, trying to get the pain to go away. It had been stretched in such a way that there was a cramp that simply would not exit her body. She often wondered if she liked her life, if she liked being told what to do instead of making her own decisions. But, she guessed that most women were told what to do, no matter what social class they belonged to, or where they lived. There was really no way around the question, so she let it be, and tried not to worry about it. Looking down at her dress, she fingered the crimson fabric between her thumb and forefinger. It felt good, almost silky. The stars shined bright, almost leaving a glare in her eyes. I guess I'm as close to the stars as I ever will be, she thought, leaving the subject be.
